Using your own letterhead in form letters

Using your own letterhead in form letters

Feature introduced: v2.6k

There are any number of ways to use your own stored graphics or specially formatted letterhead within form letters, but placing individual bitmaps and doing character formatting can be tricky, so we have now introduced a new feature that allows you to take an existing word template and use this within the form letters produced by Rycombe Practice Management.

  1. Take your template document, and save it as Rich Text Format (*.rtf)
  2. Find the file with Windows Explorer, right click on it and then select Open With..Notepad
  3. Go to the end of the file
  4. The last line should be: “\par }}”
  5. Delete the second “}”
  6. Save the file as a Text File
  7. Use this in any form letter by including the entry [intro full path\filename.txt] at the beginning of the form letter definition (Tools..Form Letter Options)
